Transmission Capital Partners, the consortium comprising Transmission Investment, INPP and Amber Infrastructure Group (‘the Consortium’), has successfully reached financial close for the long-term ownership and operation of the transmission link to the 950MW Moray East Offshore wind farm (the ‘OFTO’).

Moray East is the eleventh OFTO and relates to an offshore windfarm in the outer Moray Firth, connecting at New Deer substation in Aberdeenshire. It is the 4th largest site by output in the UK and solidifies Transmission Investment’s geographical reach in the North of Scotland following takeover of the most northerly OFTO in August 2021.

Transmission Investment’s Managing Director Chris Veal commented “We are delighted to have completed this latest OFTO transaction and extend a special thank you to our partners and all our advisors in helping us to reach this milestone. Transmission Investment will manage the ongoing operations of the assets and we therefore look forward to a long and successful relationship with Ocean Winds.”
