Transmission Investment’s Corporate Development Director, Mark Fitch, was called to give oral evidence at the NI Affairs committee about the role of interconnectors and transmission infrastructure and the challenges in delivering net zero in Northern Ireland. Building on the written evidence submitted in January https://committees.parliament.uk/writtenevidence/128172/pdf/, which set out Transmission Investment’s views, including the need to join up regulatory decision making to deliver the best outcome for the UK on net zero. The Committee sought insight from the panel on the potential barriers in NI for achieving net zero and the specific actions needed from the UK government, Executive and Northern Ireland Assembly to make a difference.
