Transmission Capital Partners, the consortium comprising Transmission Investment, Amber Infrastructure and INPP, has been appointed as preferred bidder for the Rampion offshore transmission connection (‘OFTO’).
The project includes the offshore substation platform, two submarine cables, onshore cables and onshore substation which connect the 400MW offshore wind farm located 13km off the coast of Worthing in West Sussex.
This project is the eighth in the Transmission Capital Partners portfolio with the existing projects being Robin Rigg, Gunfleet Sands, Barrow, Ormonde, Lincs, Westermost Rough and Dudgeon. The total capital value for the eight projects is in excess of £1.4bn.
