Description

Transmission Capital Partners was declared the preferred bidder for the Dudgeon offshore transmission licence on the 23rd November 2017 and established TC Dudgeon OFTO Plc as a special purpose company to acquire the Dudgeon offshore transmission assets. TC Dudgeon OFTO Plc was awarded a transmission licence and took ownership of the assets on the 13th November 2018. The transfer value of the assets was £298m.

The Dudgeon offshore transmission assets connect the 402MW Dudgeon offshore windfarm to the 400kV electricity transmission network at Necton substation in Norfolk. The 132kV export cable route is 42km offshore and 47km onshore.

The Dudgeon offshore transmission assets are the only assets under Transmission Investment management for which the associated offshore wind generator has retained day-to-day responsibility for repair and maintenance under a 20-year fixed price agreement.
